So I went along with Wag's suggestions by covering the yellow parts with a brown ink wash-type thing. It calmed the brightness down a good bit. After it was dry, I touched it up with a light brown to give it a more brownish consistency. He's varnished now (he was starting to chip :() so no more changes on him. He's finished :)



Looking at the colors now, the yellow still seems quite bright even though in person it's much more calm. I think that ...

I recently finished up Zandu prior to getting Carpel Tunnel Relief surgery on my right hand (Yeah... it's interesting typing at the moment... lol).


I really like how he came out, and again, had a blast painting him. Thanks, Shanerozell, for the advice with the photography! I took it and really like how the photos came out this time around :)


Finally, I puttered around with more freehand on the quiver :) Enjoy!!

Here are some more progress pictures from last night. I ran out of time last night (we had a rough night... especially since our little girl has a cold!) so I was hurrying to get to bed. I didn't get to progress on him tonight as I was up with the kids, so they kept my hands rather full.


On the whole, he's almost completely finished. You can see the freehand I did on the inside of his cloak (first time for me... I hope it doesn't look too shabby..) and really the only parts I ...

WIP 1

I'll be having surgery next week to alleviate carpal tunnel syndrome in my right wrist, so at the moment I'm trying to get as much done, painting wise, because after that it's 2 weeks of not using that hand and I have no idea when our "Epic" campaign will begin.


I like to paint figures to represent my friends' characters in our games. Once they are finished, I give them to the players for free (I could never charge a friend..). We lost a few players ...

Wereshark by Reaper Miniatures, painted for my challenge vs Waghorn41. As usual, my horrible photography skills make this mini look darker than it actually is and doesn't show the highlighighting very well either. :(
